Instead of providing free-time per trip, the Social Bicycles technology enables providing free-time per day. This prevents riders from gaming the system by stringing together free rides, ultimately ensuring a more financially sustainable model for the program.
Daily free-time is cumulative. Once a user rides beyond their free-time, overage time is charged on a prorated hourly cost. The pricing model is entirely customizable by each operator. For more information on membership pricing, please see our “Membership Plans” section.
