Open Data

Social Bicycles is committed to providing open data to share valuable infrastructure planning information without violating user privacy. Each smart-bike collects GPS route data which Operators and Cities can use to effectively allocate resources, plan rebalancing strategies, and track the fleet. Cities and advocates can gauge system performance, analyze usage heat maps, and bike flow. In-depth usage data allows authorized third parties to track the program’s success through miles ridden, trips taken, CO2 emissions reduced, calories burned, and more.

Users can download their individual GPS routes and create visualization projects, analyze their personal statistics, or share their rides with friends on other social networks.
